Emerald Lake, also known as Shuicui Lake, is a little-known secret place located in Qinghai, on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

This beautiful lake was once part of the ocean and, after a long period of crustal movement, the ground lifted up into the world's largest plateau. As a result of this geological process, some low-lying areas retained seawater, forming many salt lakes and ponds, including Emerald Lake.

The lake is not just a single color, but rather a stunning mixture of emerald green, mint blue, amber yellow, and milk white. The edges of the lake are surrounded by creamy white rock walls that create a breathtaking contrast against the vibrant colors of the water.

Overlooking the lake feels like being immersed in a kaleidoscope of emerald, amber, and turquoise.

Emerald Lake is a highland salt lake situated in the snow-capped plateau of Dachaidan, and it's a sight to behold. Unlike the more popular and crowded Chaika, this lake offers tranquility, comfort, openness, and desolation.

Visitors can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, allowing themselves to get lost in their thoughts.

"Emerald Lake" is part of the Qaidam Yardan landform, and the lake is surrounded by a row of long mounds and concave grooves that are widely distributed throughout the northwestern part of Qaidam.

This area is rich in salt resources due to its unique geological structure, and the "Emerald Lake" is a mining pit that was formed after years of mining salt.

The lake's unique concentration of minerals gives it a colorful appearance that changes with the light and weather conditions. The magnesium sulfate brine is pure and transparent, and when the wind is calm, it reflects like a mirror in all directions.

The lake looks like it's inlaid with Gobi jade, creating a stunning emerald-colored "mirror of the sky." The scenery is similar to the Uyuni salt marshes in Bolivia, but with a filter that adds a touch of softness and tranquility to the desolate Mangliang.

Emerald Lake has also helped to develop the local tourism industry. Although the lake is relatively cold, the area has high scenic value. The scenic area covers more than two thousand acres, with nearly 1000 acres dedicated to the lake surface alone.

This natural scenic spot is incredibly beautiful, and many visitors have described it as a perfect place to rejuvenate and recharge their bodies and minds.

To cater to the different needs of tourists, the scenic spot has been divided into four areas: the park area, interactive area, welcome area, and recreation area.

These areas cater to different audiences, offering a range of activities and experiences that allow visitors to fully enjoy the beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscapes.

In addition to its natural beauty, Emerald Lake also has cultural significance for the local Tibetan people. They consider the lake to be a holy place, and believe that it has healing properties. Visitors can witness the local Tibetans performing their traditional rituals and ceremonies near the lake.

Emerald Lake is a stunning natural wonder that offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience. Its mesmerizing colors, contrasting rock walls, and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.
