There are some seemingly complex aspects of motorcycle maintenance that users can do themselves.

This will reduce the hassle of going to the repair store, save time, and increase your knowledge of your motorcycle.

Motorcycle maintenance methods.

1. For the maintenance of the motorcycle shell.

When the motorcycle is dirty or when it rains, it needs to be washed.

After washing, you should also apply a layer of wax to the motorcycle.

After applying wax, it can more or less resist the damage of acid rain and sun on the car.

2. Daily maintenance of tires

Maintain your tires by cleaning them to keep the tread free of stones and other foreign objects within the tread pattern.

Do not apply water wax or oil to the surface of the tires because rubber and oil have an affinity for each other, which can lead to cracking and deterioration of the tires, endangering the safety of driving.

3. Motorcycle engine maintenance

When the motorcycle has been driven for 6,000 km, anti-wear agents should be added to extend the life of the motorcycle engine.

4. Lubricant for motorcycle machines

Motorcycle oil is the priority of motorcycle maintenance.

You can choose multi-cylinder, high-speed, using imported semi-synthetic oil, preferably using fully synthetic imported oil.

5. Maintenance of the fuel tank

Domestic gasoline has more impurities.

If there is time, it is best to disassemble and clean the fuel tank once a year.

After removing the tank, pour off the water and rust at the bottom of the tank, then dry the tank and reinstall it back.

This is good for both the tank and the motorcycle.

6. The carburetor has to be maintained

It is the same as the maintenance of the fuel tank.

If the carburetor is used for a long time, impurities will accumulate inside.

You can loosen the drain screw under the carburetor and let the impurities flow out together with the gasoline.

If the carburetor has a leakage problem, it must also be repaired and replaced promptly.

7. Maintenance of oil filter

Most users know that the oil should be replaced on time, but a principle should be mastered.

Is replaced by a new oil, then the filter must be replaced.

In the process of lubrication, the engine oil pump sucks the oil out of the bottom groove and presses it into the oil filter first, and then transports the clean oil to the cylinder head, crankshaft, and transmission parts.

If the filter element is too dirty, the filtering effect of the oil is poor, the output oil volume is reduced, and the parts are not well lubricated, which will cause excessive wear.

So only re-changing the oil is not possible, and the oil filter element must be replaced at the same time.
