People usually choose to go outside to ski or build snowmen in winter travel. But today we want to recommend you a warm winter trip.

Snowflakes outside the window, a piece of silver, the window warmth, where to find such enjoyment? A winter train journey can satisfy your wish!

We've found these 3 train routes that are perfect for you to take in winter. Follow the rhythm of the train to slow down and feel the joy of the silver and white painting unfolding in front of you.

1. Glacier Express

The Glacier Express is the most representative train in Switzerland. From the moment you take your seat, an eight-hour scenic movie begins to play out the window, and it's a sight to behold.

The meadow looks like a huge green velvet carpet. The mountains are clad in fir, and the rocky peaks above 4,000 meters are lofty in front of their eyes.

From Saint Moritz, the train enters the Albula Line railroad section and coils down the steep hillside to reveal a stunning sight.

As the train climbed to Zermatt (1,500 meters above sea level), everyone waited with bated breath for the first sight of Switzerland.

The Matterhorn, 4,478 meters above sea level, straight into the clouds, as if it were the tusk of the earth. And you are about to reach your destination.

Here is some useful information:

The Glacier Express stops running between the end of October and the beginning of December and runs one to three times a day during the rest of the season.

You can order tickets through the website or from a travel agent. Be sure to book your tickets and select your seats as soon as you have finalized your travel dates.

The route is beautiful all year round, but only in winter (December to April) is their snow on the ground.

2. Brenner Railway

The beauty of the Brenner Railway lies in the mountains and the river. It takes only one day to travel from Munich to Venice, but it passes through Germany, Austria, and Italy, taking you from the snow belt to sea level at a surprisingly fast pace.

As the train begins its descent from Brenner, you see vineyard after vineyard outside the window, with lush green vines neatly arranged and spread out to the foot of the limestone walls.

The dining car attendant will serve you a late lunch at this point on a clean white tablecloth, with all the delicacies that are both worthy of the scenery and reflective of the railroad's history.

There are beautiful views along the railroad all year round. And if you plan to get off the train midway and head to the mountains for a hike. It is ideal to go there from May to October.

3. Northern Explorer

The Northern Explorer train connects two of New Zealand's most important cities and travels through the jagged and rugged hinterland of New Zealand's North Island, which is slower than flying but offers a more detailed view and better experience along the way.

In winter, you can choose to get off at the national park station to experience snow and ice sports.
